Blogs & websites

Here are some of my favorite blogs and websites in (almost) no particular order:

Blogs

Tangvald – Sailing Adventures and Boat Design
The blog of Thomas Tangvald

VolksCruiser
Blog mostly about simple, low-tech sailing.

TriloBoats
Same as VolksCruiser, Dave Ziegler has designed Triloboats with a philosophy of simplicity and is also a proponent of the junk rig.

Boat building

7 meter SibLim, a small junk rigged cruiser designed by David Tyler. Annie Hill is building a smaller version of it, documenting it on her blog.

Others

Junk Rig Association
The Junk Rig Association has a long tradition of developing and spreading the word on junk rigs. The first newsletter appeared in 1979 and is still actively being publiced. The site is a great resource and the forums are active. Some portions of the site is members only but membership starts at £7/year, which also includes the magazine/newsletter in PDF format (you can pay a bit more for the print version).
