And I feel like a little boy on Christmas! The Hebridean wind vane self-steering servo-pendulum gear (what a mouthful) from windvaneselfsteering.co.uk is my choice for self-steering gear. I had plans to build an own design that I had been mulling over for ages but instead, after discovering this ingenius piece of kit, opted to save myself a bit of R&D by going for a tried solution.

Unfortunately I am very busy with a bunch of other stuff at the moment so I won’t have time to do much about this for at least a week, except for maybe having the plans and instructions as bedtime reading. As always, I will keep you updated when something happens.
weight of package?
8 kg according to Fedex. But the kit doesn’t include the wooden parts (the frame and the pendulum). The total weight should be around 12 kg.
Have you had any chance yet to start building the kit?
Not yet, unfortunately. There’s been a bunch of delays and I’ve only recently, a few days back, resumed my work on the wing sail.
